Misery Guts

We are studying this novel in our class literature circle. During this time we take on different roles so that we can discuss, share opinions, debate and think in depth about our book, Misery Guts by Morris Gleitzman.

Our roles will be:

Discussion Director - leads the discussion
Summariser - summarises assigned chapters
Travel Tracer - represents a piece of text as a diagram
Plot Organiser - matches parts of the story to the structure
Creative Connector - finds connections between reading and real life
Literacy Analyst - finds language features in the text
Character Tracer - finds and describes character traits
Vocabulary Enricher - finds and defines important words in reading
Literacy Wizard - locate text for deeper thinking
